Russell Hemsworth - Managing Director
Russ joined Toolcraft at 17 years of age whilst completing a Business HND. Starting off by doing the accounts, he moved on to become general company smartass.
In addition to managing the company, he's the helpdesk – for IT and just about everything else ! In his spare time he enjoys improving the company website, sampling real ale & wine and playing with his son Sander, born in November 2009.
John Hemsworth - Director
After 10 years working as a toolmaker and 5 years as a tool designer, John set up Toolcraft with his partner Pete in 1972. Starting work in the garage, John built the company from a 2-man set-up to a 35+ employee, million pound business.
John enjoys computing and photography and can be spotted zooming around in his open-top supercharged sports car.
James Caldwell - Projects and Quality Manager
James has been with Toolcraft since 1985. He started as setter. but wanted to check if the grass was greener elsewhere and so left us for a while. He returned in 1999 to take up his current position and his sarcasm has been brightening our days ever since.
His design experience is invaluable to Toolcraft and our customers – you name it, he can design it. He's a keen photographer, walker and camper.
Nikki Hemsworth - Sales Co-ordinator / Office Manager
Nikki joined us at 18 as Office Junior. After a while she went out to work in the big wide world, but quickly realised that no place is like Toolcraft & re-joined us to take on the role of Order Processing. Now Sales Co-ordinator / Office Manager, Nikki enjoys assisting existing & prospective customers.
Her hobbies include Tropical Fishkeeping, Gardening & watching most sports. She also supports Liverpool FC, but don't hold that against us !
Theresa Reynolds – Production Supervisor
Theresa has been with Toolcraft for over 25 years. She's the pivot in our operation who makes sure that your order is fulfilled in time and to excellent quality. Production operators quiver in her presence. (And so does everyone else here).
In her spare time she enjoys looking after her cats and her grandson, walking the dogs and winning at Bingo.
Sonja van Leeuwen – Marketing Coordinator
Sonja joined Toolcraft in 2010 after working as an editor academic publishing for 5 years. She's responsible for those lovely Toolcraft Newsletters you get in your inbox once a month (if you don't get them, sign up here).
Before her son Sander arrived, she can remember enjoying nice quiet activities like reading, walking, painting, staring at open fires and drinking wine.
