Russell Hemsworth - Managing Director
Russ joined Toolcraft at 17 whilst completing a Business HND in his evening hours which he passed with Distinction. Starting off by doing the accounts, he moved on to become general company guru.
In addition to managing the company, he's the website designer & helpdesk – for IT and just about everything else ! He's the person to come to for any Moulding & Vacuum Forming re-order quotes. In his spare time he enjoys computing, listening to music, real ale & wine and playing with his son and daughter.
James Caldwell - Technical Projects and Quality Manager
James started with us as a Setter in 1985, but left us for a while to check if the grass was greener elsewhere. He returned in 1999 to take up his current position and his sarcasm has brightened our days ever since.
His technical knowledge & plastic product design experience are invaluable to us and our customers and he provides quotes for new toolmaking, plastic moulding & vacuum forming projects and advice on all aspects of the moulding process. When he's not working, he's a keen photographer, walker and camper.
Nikki Hemsworth - Sales Co-ordinator / Office Manager
Nikki joined us at 18 as Office Junior. After a while she went out to work in the big wide world, but quickly realised that no place is like Toolcraft & re-joined us to take on the role of Order Processing. Now Sales Co-ordinator / Office Manager, Nikki enjoys assisting existing & prospective customers.
Her hobbies include Tropical Fishkeeping, Gardening & watching most sports. She also supports Liverpool FC, but don't hold that against us !
Stephen Scargill – Production Supervisor
Steve joins us from a background of Plastic Fabrication & Mould Making in the Super Yacht & Bespoke Plastic Fabrication Industries. After successfully managing his own company, Aquaeous Plastic Fabrications, for several years, he decided to ditch the travelling and have a calmer lifestyle joining us. Little did he suspect…
In his spare time, Stephen is harassed by his grandkids and manages the Cricklade Town Mens football team.
Steve Hayward - Injection Moulding Setter
Steve is our amazing injection moulding machine setter. He’s been with us for more than 25 years ! He can get any tool running in any machine and is a master trouble-shooter. In more recent years, he has been taking on the moulding machine maintenance as well and soon he will be showing a new setter the ropes.
In his spare time, he can be spotted dancing a steamy salsa with his lovely wife & dance partner.
Sonja van Leeuwen – Marketing Coordinator
Sonja joined Toolcraft in 2010 after working as an editor in academic publishing for 5 years. She's responsible for those lovely Toolcraft Newsletters you get in your inbox once a month (if you don't, sign up here) and is our internal auditor for ISO9001. She also gets landed with just about any other job nobody else wants to do.
Before her children arrived, she can remember enjoying nice quiet activities like reading, walking, painting, staring at open fires and drinking wine.
Toolcraft's design, tooling and injection moulding service is fast & reliable and they deliver excellent quality products.
